Anyone who spends time in the town will recognise Glossop as a “Vibrant Creative Community”. To promote this, in 2018 we launched the Glossop Creates initiative. This was developed along side Place Makers, a local place making consultancy, and aimed to to find and develop ways to harness this energy and passion and to use it to support the economic development of the town.

In 2021, we parted company with Place Makers (Now Local Creative Partnership), and took the decision that going forward the best place for Glossop Creates was with Place Makers, who as a commercial organisation, had better resources to take to project forward.

Whilst we are now no longer involved in Glossop Creates, we are still very interested in the creativity of the town, and linking up with creatives to promote and support their projects.

Through our three strands “Nurturing Creativity”, “Transforming Spaces” and “Inviting Ideas”, we aim to identify partners and work with them to enhance the town as a place to live work and enjoy.

So if you are  a Designer, photographer, writer, publisher, editor, marketer, someone who runs a great venue,  or work in TV, radio, film or music. In-fact anyone working in the creative sector in a commercial role.  we would love to meet you.
